Integrations

Limited ecosystem

Frappe Cloud Marketplace. Small: roughly 190 open-source apps (MIT/GPL only, GitHub-hosted), about 1-2% of Odoo's catalog size.

Notable integrations

Payments app bundles Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, BraintreeFrappe HR (first-party payroll/HR)n8n has a community ERPNext connector

API quality: REST API on the Frappe Framework with API key/secret and OAuth2 auth, but documentation is community-patched. An "unofficial docs" GitHub project exists specifically because official docs are considered incomplete.

What doesn't connect cleanly

  • No confirmed native Avalara integration, a real gap in prebuilt US sales-tax automation
  • Self-hosting (the common cost-saving path) requires real ops capacity: tuned MariaDB, Redis, Nginx, the Frappe bench manager, backups. Described by implementers as "not a weekend setup"
  • Upgrading a self-hosted instance with any customization is "a multi-day technical project"
