by Frappe
ERPNext is a genuinely open-source ERP (GPL) covering accounting, inventory, HR, and manufacturing. For technical teams willing to self-host or use Frappe Cloud, it is the lowest-cost full ERP available. Support and polish trail commercial products.

Services · Manufacturing · Education · Retail & E-commerce
Integrations
Limited ecosystemFrappe Cloud Marketplace. Small: roughly 190 open-source apps (MIT/GPL only, GitHub-hosted), about 1-2% of Odoo's catalog size.
Notable integrations
API quality: REST API on the Frappe Framework with API key/secret and OAuth2 auth, but documentation is community-patched. An "unofficial docs" GitHub project exists specifically because official docs are considered incomplete.
What doesn't connect cleanly
- — No confirmed native Avalara integration, a real gap in prebuilt US sales-tax automation
- — Self-hosting (the common cost-saving path) requires real ops capacity: tuned MariaDB, Redis, Nginx, the Frappe bench manager, backups. Described by implementers as "not a weekend setup"
- — Upgrading a self-hosted instance with any customization is "a multi-day technical project"
